Prevent Training for DSLs and Other Staff Leading Training in Schools 25-26

The following quote from the Prevent Duty Guidance: Prevent duty guidance: Guidance for specified authorities in England and Wales (publishing.service.gov.uk) identifies the following: 

"The Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) or Prevent lead in the setting should receive more in-depth training, including on extremist and terrorist ideologies, how to make referrals and how to work with Channel panels. It is recommended that this training is updated at least every two years, enabling the lead to support other staff on Prevent matters and update them on relevant issues”.

Therefore, this course will provide staff who are delivering Prevent training with the knowledge and resources to enable them to facilitate training to all staff in their schools.

Improving Behaviour, Engagement, Learning and Progress for your most Vulnerable Pupils using the Reach2Teach App

Through this partly funded programme, you will strengthen your school’s understanding of the causal factors behind challenging learning behaviours and learn to apply this forensic understanding to more effectively plan and support children into learning. At the heart of the programme is The Reach2Teach app, which is funded by the virtual school for all Hampshire schools. The project will provide participants the time to fully explore the strengths, needs and barriers for focus children in their school and to use a range of tools and strategies, including the Reach 2 Teach app, to plan for positive intervention and improved learning.

The course fee is for three attendees from each school.
